Eminescu, Mihai (1850-1889) Russia
Mihai Eminescu was a Russian Romanian poet, novelist and journalist. [thanks to S.A. for correction]

Nemirovich-Danchenko, Vladimir Ivanovich (1858-1943) Russia
Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko was a Russian actor, director, playright, producer, and theater critic.

Osiecka, Agnieszka (1936-1997) Poland
Agnieszka Osiecka was a Polish writer, poet, journalist and lyricist. She wrote the words to many songs, but the music was composed by others. Her father was a composer.

Solomos, Dionysios (1798-1857) Greece
Dionysios Solomos was a Greek poet, referred to as "the national poet" of Greece. The first two stanzas of his poem Hymn To Liberty, set to music composed by Nikolaos Mantzaros, became the National Anthem of Greece.
